Every Nigerian entrepreneur whether successful entrepreneur or on the way to success truly deserve some accolades. Surviving as an entrepreneur in Nigeria requires strength , connections and networks. Every Nigerian Entrepreneur needs that big break. I can hardly point to any successful entrepreneur that wasn’t thrust upwards by a big breakthrough. So thumbs up to everyone on the journey to the big break, you all have truly paid your dues.

The calling into entrepreneurship isn’t for everyone and takes a lot of courage especially for us here in Nigeria. Surviving as a Nigerian Entrepreneur requires developing the skills and character required to function in this capacity. Any entrepreneur that will survive in this country must first learn to follow his instincts and discover his calling and gifting.

I have observed that entrepreneurship is all about innovating or being irrelevant. You see, innovation is key to survival. You need to be resilient and adjust quickly to circumstances as they change over time. Becoming relevant in your first three years in business depends largely on your ability to be innovative in your business. You must at all times have market appeal to last long in the business. You must know that eventually, no matter how great the product or service that you are offering is, it must lose market appeal with time. This in itself is some hard work.

As a Nigerian Entrepreneur don’t loose hope yet, just be ready to give your best and go the extra mile for your business. You are bound to encounter challenges and hard times, but at all times you must always have a positive mindset that your assurance is here.

Accolades to all entrepreneurs trying to make it amidst  the recession and political shenanigans.
